Question: Does my Blog Load slow for you....

Hey Guys!
I have noticed for at least 4 months that my blog loads slow for me. And I was wondering if it was doing the same for those of you bloggers that read my blog.
It drives me crazy. Almost to the point of maybe going to Wordpress.
Maybe it is just my computer. Maybe I have too much junk on the side...however, I have been to others that have more "junk" in there toolbar than I do. And there's loads just fine for me.
And The last thing I want is for people to get frustrated at my slow loading blog.

My Tastes are changing...

Hey Guys!
I just recently noticed that my taste in music is greatly shifting. I used to only listen to country and easy listening/soft rock. Now, I am finding Country music just isn't agreeing with me much anymore. And there are just a hand full of Country Singers that I will listen too now.
Reba, Martina McBride, Brookes and Dunn, and I even like Dolly Parton. But that is ALL I can think of that I will listen too...
I am being to think I was born in the wrong decade.I could listen to Christopher Cross ALL day long! I have mention this before. His song "Sailing" is my ALL time Favorite song. My favorite aunt got me hooked on Easy Listening/soft rock. She is the one that gave me The Sloppy Joe Recipe.
I also Love listening to Journey & Boston. And I like the BeeGee's (That comes from my dad he gave me my love of them while driving in his truck to play Golf...that is what we always listened too...
I do not own a single Cd/album of Easy listening. I think I am going to have to change that!
My kids think I have gone looney and ask me what in the World am I listening too...
My world consist of listening to Mickey Mouse Club House Music, Sometimes the Wiggles, Jonas Brothers, sometimes the Backyardigans Music, The Dooblebops music, Hannah Montana, High School Musical Music and whatever insane music my 11 year old sings....plus what I listen too...My 11 year old also loves to listen to contemporary Christian Music...Which I love to listen to as well.
What kind of Music do you listen too?
And If you listen to any Easy Listening/Soft Rock or the BeeGee's (Gotta love me some BeeGee's) do you have and recommendations on WHICH CD's I should purchase.

Tornado season....

Hey Guys!
The start of today was VERY gloomy....well at least outside...It did clear up...I do have a confession to make....I LOVE the rain....I love Thunderstorms...I love listening to it and watching it.
And with all this fun type of weather comes the horrible tornadoes. Okay, this is going to sound really strange. I really wish I could be a Tornado chaser! (And I can't stand driving in the rain)
I grew up the heart of Tornado Alley~~Oklahoma. I can't COUNT how many tornadoes I have been in.
Yes, they scare the begebbies out of me. And now they really do because we do not have a basement where we live. Our next door neighbor does. But a lot of the time she isn't even home.
However, I am fortunate enough to know exactly what to do and not over-react to them. The last two days our Tornado sirens have sounded constantly. Which is great! I never heard of a tornado siren until I got married and moved to TN. That is so strange to me because I grew up like I said in Tornado Alley. .....However, I grew up in a very small town.
hmmm, for my Thursday Thirteen I just might have to do a 'What to do in case of a tornado'.
I Hope you all had a wonderful Friday....

Lordy, Lordy, lordy

Has it poured today...

I hope my blogging buddies in and around Nashville are staying safe. I think we are in for another rainy day tomorrow. My back door neighbors yard is a pond. Luckily, I live on a hill...they live in the 'valley'.
Thanks to all of you that read my little tangent yesterday....It felt really good to get it out. And if you read it and didn't comment thanks to you as well...
Aimee my daughter informed me when she arrived home from school that she is going to be graduating speech by the end of the year. This is a big deal for her and she is really nervous, yet excited by it. She had a bad speech problem...not as severe as Zachary's but close. When she was in kindergarten her Kindergarten teacher was literally in TEARS because she couldn't understand Aimee. And she SO badly wanted too....Now, all I noticed is a VERY slight lisp when Aimee speaks. She speaks so plainly now. You would never even know that she had/has a speech problem.
Sometimes, I think she is very conscious of her speech...hence why she is so shy...it takes her a good 9 weeks to warm up to the kids in her class. And actually NOT be shy of contributing to the learning of the class. I am amazed that she has done SO well in school actually...
Daniel is all fired up about Graduating from 5th grade. Zachary is just Zach...I can tell he is learning A LOT. And his speech is greatly improving...still has a long way to go...I can sure tell a difference from when he first started speech at the beginning of the year.
And I SO meant participate in Thursday Thirteen today, but things just starting happening today one right after the other and I didn't get a chance to get it together. Next Week, I will be better prepared.
I hope you all stayed dry today. Have a wonderful Evening.

My on-topic post....

Hopefully, it will stay on topic and I will not go off on a tangent....
And hopefully, I will not get bad comments...

As most of you may or may not know. My husband is retired Army. He spent close to 22 years in the Army. And retired at the young age of 40. Any ho...that makes me a retired military spouse.

Moving On....
When people say this "statement" it IRKS me to HIGH HEAVEN! No kidding. It just gets under my skin. That statement is " I support our soldiers, however I do not support our President". That statement IRKS me. To me that statement reads ALL wrong. He is "considered" for ALL intensive purposes He is the COMMANDER AND CHEF of all military services'. That makes him a......SOLDIER! They are contradicting themselves.

It also Irks me about people that complain about our military service members 'receiving' to much. Military service member are WAY WAY WAY underpaid. My husband figured out his pay once. And it was less than $2.00 an hour at one point.

Some people also think that Military medical care is great.....that statement is false. We have our awesome hospitals and doctors. YET, we still have just as many bad doctors and hospitals as Civilians do.
My husband has sacrificed so much. He missed most of our oldest two kids growing up.....David our baby who is 3. Nos nothing of daddy being in the Army. And when we tell him. He looks at us funny and says "No he wasn't." My husband is disabled. Although, just by looking at him you couldn't tell it. He has a horrible back and neck. A steal bar fell on the back of his neck while deployed and injured him. He will eventually have to have surgery on his back and not in just one place. He has bad knees, bad elbows and fingers.
Many soldiers will tell you that they would go back in a heartbeat....because they love our country that much and there is unfinished business to take care of.....
A lot of soldiers give the ultimate sacrifice----There life. And there wives, husband's, mother's, brother's, sister's, girlfriends, grandparents, cousins are left missing them.
Anyway, See I went off on a tangent sort of....
I wanted to stay on topic with the above statement,.....but I didn't.
The President No matter who he/she is~~~Is a soldier...because they ARE the Commander and Chef of the Military!
I know people will continue saying this statement and it will continue to IRK me to no ends. But at least the few people that read my blog just might understand where I am coming from....."MAYBE".
I hope you all had a fantastic Wednesday! Have a wonderful evening and night.

I LOATHE April the 1st!

Hey Guys!
Yes, you read it right. I can't stand April Fool's Day. To me, some people go over the top with jokes and pranks. Yes, I realize it is all in good fun.....
Why on earth would you want to humilate someone....
My daughter can't stand it either. She usually ends up crying every April Fools day. However, so far, she hasn't this year.
In our house it is the total opposite. No jokes or practical jokes are allowed to be played on anyone for that day.
Both my daughter and I can take a joke. However, we just don't see the need in carrying overboard. To the point where someones feelings get hurt.
Growing up, Aprils 1st was just another day. My kids know when EVERY 'holiday' is. And I use the word 'Holiday' loosly for April Fool's day....I just don't see it as a holiday that even needs to be.
I love the month of April....just April fools day I could without celebrating.
On to another topic~
I think Daniel is starting to test his boundaries. He just turned 11 in Feb. I think he is getting at that ages to see what mom and dad will and will not take and how far he can go with it. I 'feel' those pre-teen years fast approaching with him.....
And just to think I have a daughter that is 18 months behind him....
Not much has gone on today......I did manage to get in a 30 minute nap myself. Which felt great. And David took an awesome nap for me today.
Tomorrow starts my spring cleaning.....I am so excited to get my house to smelling and looking fresh and clean...
Oh and Jennifer, if you think your kids rooms are bad then you should see our playroom.....Which I would NEVER show! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, Nope will not do it.
My headbands are selling very well. And more fabric is on it's way to me as well as more plastic headbands. I really enjoy making them. It relaxes me somewhat. I also have a topic for tomorrow....I just REALLY REALLY hope it doesn't become politically charged. I am not one for posting political subjects....and this really isn't political but it is....
I hope you all had a wonderful Tuesday.
Have a Great Evening
