My husband will more than likely be shocked about my 13 for this week.I don't know if he really knows How much I love this kind of music-Soft Rock/Easy Listening. My Aunt, who is a Music teacher in Oklahoma actually introduced me to it.And some of these songs I actually think of her.13 of my favorite Soft Rock/Easy listening songs.1. "Sailing" by Christopher Cross. Hit #1 1980. I was 7 years old. I could listen to this song over and over 24/7. It has such great lyrics and nice rhythm. This song also makes me think of my husband. 2. "Steal Away" by Robbie Dupree. This was also a #1 song. This song reminds me so much of my Aunt. As does the #1. This song was #1 in 1979.3. "Sad Eyes" by Robert John. #1 hit 1979. 4. "We Don't Talk Anymore"by Cliff Richard. Hit #7 in 1979 (why it didn't make it to #1 I don't know) love this song.5. "Baby Come Back" By Player. Hit #1 in 19786. "Pina Coladas" or "If you Like Pina Coladas" By Rupert Holmes. This song just makes you want to sing along with it. This song hit #1 in 1980.7. "The Things We Do For Love" by 10cc. I remember skating to this song at the skating rink. I really don't care for any other song this group/band has. But this one. This hit #5 in 1977.8. "Making Love Out Of Nothing At All"by Air Supply. Hit #7 in 1983, why it didn't hit #1 is beyond me. Such a great song.9. "All Out Of Love" by Air Supply. hit #2 in 1983. This one is also a great song.10. "Arthur's Theme" by Christopher Cross. I really enjoy listening to Christopher Cross. Hit # 1 in 1981. The year my little sister was born!
11. "Babe" By Styx. Hit #1 in 1979. I was only 6 years old. A first Grader. 12. "If You Leave Me Now"By Chicago. Hit #1 in 1976. I was only 3 at the time. My cousin (he is 4 years older than me) played Chicago's Music all the time. 13. "Hard To Say I'm Sorry"By Chicago. This song hit #1 in 1982.

I'm an '80s kid, and your list brings back memories of my teen years.
Have a nice weekend!
Wow, I'm close to your age, and oh, the memories those songs bring back! I loved so many of them when I was a kiddo, and they are still special to me now.
Thanks for the memories -- great TT! And thanks for visiting mine. :)
I'm a little bit older than you, and I remember hearing all of these on the radio. What great memories.
I'm also old enough now to be able to look you straight in the eye and admit that I love Air Supply, and that I have Chicago's Greatest Hits in my cd rack :).
Off to go listen to Pina Colada now...
Great list. I know most of these. You are right they are good songs. :)
this is a great list. I know all of these and they remind me of my childhood
Great list. My favorite Chicago song is "Hard Habit to Break." I remember mooning over a crush in high school to that song. :-)
Oh, I LOVE "If You Like Pina Coladas!" Even though it is kinda evil if you really think about it. Jeez they were both gonna cheat on each other. LOL
I love all the songs of Air Supply! And whenever I hear them now, it takes me back to the '80s when I was a much younger gal! =)
I like all the songs on your list!
Happy TT!
Great list. I have memories of people and places connected with most of those songs ,so i have to smile.
Thanks
Ed
Great list. I loved Christopher Cross's songs, as well as the early Chicago, especially before Peter Cetara (they had trumpets *g*). Happy TT.
We like what we like, right? I remember all those songs :-)
I like #1 myself.
Christopher Cross, the first concert I saw in my life. Not something one usually brags about is it?
I love this one:
"Pina Coladas" or "If you Like Pina Coladas"
Now I'm going to get it stuck in my head .. lol!
Happy TT and thank you for stopping by!
Oh, my secrets are out! How could you do this to me? ;)
Yeah, whenever I hear Chicago it's like I'm at the ice skating rink again.
Great list! I love THE LAST 3, but all the songs take me back.
I am a wee bit older than you and all of those are serious favs! I am a hopeless romantic at heart. Thanks for stopping by my place.
Boy, you are bringing back the memories. Last year, I hunted down a Criss Cross CD because Arthur's theme was running through my head.
I've listened to all of these. I really love the Pina Colada song. I'm going to have to find that now!
Wow, Air Supply and Chicago. How very cool.
I remember Sad Eyes being very popular at roller rinks when I was nine and ten (1979-80)
I like ABBA for this sort of thing.
I guess I'm not as old as I think. I remember some of those tunes. Good list. thanks
I love the song sailing, but how teeny bopper am I that I like NSync's version better??? LOL
Really cool list, It's amazing what we'll listen to and like for music. I love almost anything with great guitar in it, but I hate the blues. How retarded is that?
But anyhoo, I liked your list, but I have to admit to crashing and burning to the coupla songs by Air Supply. I had the sheet music to "Baby Come Back" by Player and eventually learned it, sort of, on guitar.
I like lots of soft rock too, though I'm mostly a metal guy. Old 10CC is on my ipod, as are Supertramp, some Fleetwood Mac, and others.
Most older music that I love reminds me of a time and place and people.
Now I have "If You Leave Me Now " stuck in my head!
LOL
Happy TT!
I love these songs!
Great songs - my era as well. Thanks for popping by Bloggin' Outloud, Lyn
Great songs and good choices.
i was born in the 80s so I love most of those songs! I really love Chicago though..my dad was always playing it :) Thanks for stopping!
Like several others have said, I'm an 80s kid so your list brings back many childhood memories. :-)
Thanks for visiting my TT!
Thanks for visiting my TT.
I like Chicago "If you leave me now" is one of my fav.
This is a wonderful list and I remember many of these songs. I'm older than you, but the late 70s and the 80s were a very special time in my life.
Happy T13. Thanks for visiting.
Pina Coladas is a good one! Great list.
Thanks for stopping by.
I love Chicago, and all the rest are pretty darn good too! Now I have to go get the ipod!
:)
# 9 and 13 are songs that I really love, except that I didn't listen to them until the 90's (I was born in 1980)...
Thanks for dropping by.
I love Christopher Cross
REmemer Thinks of Laura?
Seeing Air Supply in your list brought back a lot of wonderful memories. Great list!
All kinds of music playing in my head now!
I know and like most of these too! And I'm one who always associates songs with memories of people or events.
Hmmmm nope not my music LOL
Great list.
Aline
Ok, you're the second person I've said this to today: This is one of my FAVORITE TTs this week!! I know this wasn't really my era (I'm 23) but this IS my kind of music! This is what I grew up with, and you named off quite a few of my favorites!! Yay!! Have a great thursday!
I may not be from the 80's but I sure love those lists.
Thanks for the visit.
I love Chicago and Air Supply! fun list! :)
I enjoy almost all of the songs on your list. I think people that know me would be surprised as well.
Oh this list takes me back! I remember not being able to stop listen to Babe by Styx in the sixth grade. I think it was the first time I was completely hooked on a song.
Great memories! I was singing them as I read them. GreatT13.
Thanks for stopping by my T13.
I like soft rock and new age music.Your list has a few I remembered and enjoyed....Thanks for your visit today. Baba
I'm not much for soft rock, but some of these bring back some pretty good memories.
Nice TT.
Great list.
I love classic Chicago. They were HUGE when I was in high school and their songs always make me think of the dances we went to.
Thanks for stopping by!
I'm all for Pina Coladas... but that whole making love in the rain thing? Even in warm parts of the country that would be cold and uncomfortable. Also, who were the couple out making love in the rain with if they were so surprised that it was eachother that showed up? Were they practicing long before with other pina colada lovers?
I know this probably is pretty weird for a 24 year old to say this... but I LOVE Air supply! Great TT! Thanks for visiting mine!
Those are awesome songs and I like 'em too..
I've been a Christopher Cross fan for years :)
Ahhh, the nostalgia! I love it! These are all great songs! :)
You write very well.
